American Society for Training and Development (ASTD)
ASTD considers itself to be "...the world's premiere professional association in the field of workplace learning and performance."

Help Desk Institute (HDI)
"HDI's mission is to set the standards, establish certification and training programs, provide access to industry resources, and to encourage member collaboration. Our vision is to lead the customer support profession worldwide. HDI provides targeted information about the technologies, tools, and trends of the help desk and customer support industry."

International Society of Performance Improvement (ISPI)
The International Society for Performance Improvement considers itself to be "...the leading association dedicated to increasing productivity in the workplace through the application of performance and instructional technologies."

SIGCHI
The Special Interest Group for Computer Human Interaction is part of ACM. It is an organization for those people who are involved in the "..design, evaluation, implementation, and study of interactive computing systems for human use."

Society for Applied Learning Technology's (SALT)
This association is for those professionals who work in the field of instructional technology. The society publishes several periodical about instructional and educational technology.
