With Monthly Bill Manager 98 you can record and track the payment of all your bills. The software includes a always-on-top Quick Reference Guide window. The contents of the window will change when the mouse moves over an interface elements, but not all the interface elements have an associated set of instructions. The following diagram shows the contents of the Quick Reference Guide window when the mouse is over the Pay Bill button.

While there is much to like about this performance support feature, it does have a few problems.

1. The blue underlined text in the topic looks like hyperlinks. The word Contents is a hyperlink, but Payment Button is not.

2. It is not possible to click on the Contents hyperlink, because the topic changes as soon as the mouse moves off the Pay Bills button.

3. As you move the mouse pointer around the screen the topics change very rapidly. This can be visually distracting. It may be better to show a topic only after the mouse pointer hovers over an element for several seconds.
