HTML Help Reviewwebsite

You can use Microsoft's HTML Help as a replacement for a Windows help project. The program displays HTML documents and will host Java applets and ActiveX components. You can download a beta version form the Microsoft's HTML Help website. (Updated Jul-28-97)

Hyper Maker HTML 2 website

You can use Bersoft's HyperMaker to compile a set of linked HTML documents for distribution on a CD ROM or other media.  The software includes a HTML viewer and compiler. JavaHelp website

JavaHelp is an online help system that will enable Java programmers to add online help to their Java applications. JavaHelp will display HTML documents stored locally or on a network. The JavaHelp window can include navigational buttons and an expandable table of contents. It will also enable servers side topic searches. Jelp website

Jelp is a online help system for Java applets and applications. With the Jelp Publisher program, you can use the files created by any Winhelp authoring tool (e.g. RoboHelp) to compile a Jelp file.  You can then use the Jelp Viewer to display these files. (Oct-05-97)

Netscape NetHelp 2.0 Reviewwebsite

Netscape's NetHelp displays help topics in a Navigator browser window that does not include the menu, button bar or status bar. NetHelp does not include a built in keyword index or full text search engine, like Windows Help. (Updated Sep-01-97)

NavRoad in a very fast off-line HTML file viewer that could be useful for displaying online help inforamtion. The viewer supports most HTML tags, except the frames tag. It has a customizable interface that lets you turn off the button and menu bars or confirg the directory buttons. (Jan-11-97).

QuickCards Reviewwebsite

You can use QuickCards to create formatted pop-up text messages, that can be attached to any Windows applications, including custom applications. The text in the QuickCard topic windows can include hot spots that display graphics, pop-up definitions, jumps to related topics, or open another application.
