The Performance Leadership Support Group is an informal group of like minded performance support practitioners and thinkers who are frequent presenters at the Performance Support conference. Many of the members of the group have written articles about performance centered design and electronic performance support systems.

Where have we been?

The organization was originally formed in 1996 with the mission "to advance the concepts of performance support and performance-centered design as well as to promote the best practices, standards and development tools to advance its implementation. Developing business relationships among members is an additional objective."

Since 1996 we have conducted two meetings each year - a fall meeting and a spring meeting. Our fall meeting is centered on the business of performance support and performance-centered design, and the spring meeting is focused on producing a product to benefit the professional community and the industry as a whole. Our specific accomplishments include:

• Developing a sense of community among EPSS industry practitioners.
• Supporting and influencing the Performance Support Conferences.
• Defining the roles and competencies required for successful performance support development. (Members of the group presented sessions at the PS'97, PS'98 and PS'99 conferences and wrote a soon to be published article for Performance Improvement.).
• Creating a visual model as a framework for performance support - presented at PS'98.
• Providing funding and content to support the a website. 
• Establishing a close working relationship with Lakewood Publications- the new owner of the Performance Support Conference. 
• Mutually supporting each others' businesses.
• Having a lot of fun with smart colleagues.
