Quicken 98 contains several interesting performance support features. With the following screen, a person can quickly specify a particular type of report or graph. When a person selects one of the questions in Section 1, the contents of Section 2 will change. They can then select the parameters that are available for the selected type of report.

By displaying only the parameters for a selected type of report, you can

  • significantly reduce the amount of information on a screen; giving it a cleaner look that is easier for people to scan, and

  • provide a very quick path to the information a user may want to see.

The following screen allows a user to create reports from a set of report templates. The report templates are grouped within each tab. The scrolling list box on the right side of the screen lists the report templates and the left side of the screen shows an example of the layout of the selected report template.
